“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27)
A lot of the times in the Foster Care world we can find ourselves in a pit of despair! Today we want to encourage you. We as the human race, in general, do a lot of stuff wrong. Sometimes it can be hard to feel like we are doing anything right at all. If you are a foster parent and you start to feel this way, remember James 1:27.
The Bible says PLAINLY that taking care of orphans and widows is PURE and FAULTLESS religion. Foster care is one of the few things you can do that gives you the opportunity to do this. Taking care of these children is one of the most impactful and important things you can possibly do in life! It’s right there, plain to see in the Bible. It’s not really open for interpretation.
